Photo Editing On a Budget

This is a post I put together for my other blog, Publix Coupon Queen but I really think you will appreciate it. =)

I am currently in school for photography. It is both my joy and my passion. I have a lot of fun with it. The problem with this obsession is the need for Photo Editing software. I don't know if any of you have ever went out to buy Photoshop or any of it's sister programs but the prices can add up quickly. I have started using a few of the free websites for hosting and editing my pictures. I will share some of these with you now.

Photobucket.com

You can do color selection like the picture below.

You can also do cropping, black and white, add text, sepia, and a large variety of other edits. The wonderful thing about Photobucket is that the entire set up is free. You can post directly to your facebook or e-mail a picture. It also generates an image code for photo forums if you would like to post to one.

Tuxpi offers a great photo editing set up where you can do projects like the above poster.

Don't discard a picture as a bad one. Visit one of these sites and play with it a little. Who knows, you may have a masterpiece on your hands.

Starting At The Beginning

I am a very new photographer. I don't have a beautiful canon camera or any formal training. I shoot what I love and edit it in ways that make me smile.
I am starting this out at the beginning of my photo journey. I hope to share with you what I learn about photography and capturing that perfect moment in time.

I will start you out with a few of my favorites!
=)

I used Photobucket to do my edits with this one.
I love this one. Note to self: If you have to have a date stamp make sure it's on the right day. Should be 9/11

I learned after this one that you should remove the date stamp. =)
